Our History
After 12 years as a minister in the United Methodist Church (UMC), the Lord called Reverend Banks Brazell to plant a new church. With much soul-searching and persistence from the Lord, Banks took a leave of absence in April 2003 and explored planting a non-denominational church. After careful research and lots of prayer, Banks withdrew from the UMC in good standing and moved his ordination to Harvest Network International, a ministerial association that embraced a high view of Scripture, the importance of the gifts of the Spirit being active in the Church today, and a vision of a worldwide harvest.
In Feb 2004, Allpoints celebrated its first worship service — Saturdays in an office conference room, and Sundays in the chapel of H. M. Patterson’s Canton Hill Chapel in East Cobb — to a packed house. Eventually both groups consolidated to Sunday mornings.
Then, the Lord moved Dr.Carl Russell to offer Allpoints Church the building behind his orthodontic practice in Hickory Flat. After a few weekends of renovations, Allpoints moved to our current home, in October 2005.
